YSL Program

Are you interested in linking your career path with sustainability? Want to develop your connections with like minded students and industry professionals?

The Adelaide Sustainability Association is excited to announce the launch of its Young Sustainability Leaders (YSL) Program. Aimed at University of Adelaide students, the program will provide up to 20 passionate participants with the knowledge and skills required in linking their chosen career path with sustainability. The program is free and fully organised by the ASA!

Program activities:

  • ASAs Sustainability Seminar Series
  • Professional development sessions (such as how to build a LinkedIn page)
  • Opportunity to form a mentoring relationship with an industry professional
  • Exclusive YSL networking events

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this program, you must be:

  • An ASA member (membership is free – check out our website!)
  • A current University of Adelaide Student
  • At least 18 years of age

Selection:

Selection of program participants will be based on an online application process. The four application questions are:

  • Describe your strongest competencies in your work, study and personal life.
  • What do you hope to gain from the YSL program.
  • Explain why you wish to link your career path with sustainability.
  • Explain why you think it is crucial for young people to act as sustainability leaders in the world.

Information Sessions:

To find out more about the program, you are strongly encouraged to attend one of the following 20 minute information sessions.

 

                Session 1:

                                When: 1 pm , Tuesday 7th March

                                Where: Seminar Room, Level 5 Nexus 10

 

                Session 2:

                                When: 1 pm, Thursday 9th March

                                Where: Seminar Room, Level 5 Nexus 10

 

First YSL Event:

The YSL program will kick off with a meet and greet session to network with other YSL participants. This session will also double as an opportunity for program participants to form a mentoring relationship with an industry professional. This event will be held at 5:30pm on Thursday the 30th March at the University of Adelaide.
